How to use this calendar

This calendar lists EPR dates for packaging, electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) and batteries from our fact base, reviewed on 27 October 2026. It is a planning tool: a date only applies to you if you are a producer in that country for that product stream.

  1. Filter by country. Look only at the countries you ship to. EU rows apply in every member state.
  2. Check "Who is affected". Many dates only concern producers with an existing registration, a specific contract or a volume above a threshold.
  3. Read the status. "Confirmed" means verified on an official or primary source; "Reported" means taken from a reputable secondary source. Proposals are listed separately and are not law.
  4. Open the country guide. Each row links to the guide with background, steps and sources.
  5. Plan backwards. Registrations, representative mandates and data collection take time. Processing times vary, so start well before the date.

Frequently asked questions โ€“ EPR deadlines

What is the next EPR deadline?

The next deadline is 12 November 2026 in Germany: changes to LUCID registration data must be made by then under ยง 68(2) VerpackDG. Existing LUCID registrations remain valid.

When is the German completeness declaration for 2026 due?

It is due on 17 May 2027, because 15 May 2027 falls on a Saturday. There is one declaration under ยง 10 VerpackDG for 2026, with the 2026 data broken down according to the old VerpackG rules.

When do PPWR penalties apply?

Member states must lay down PPWR penalty rules by 12 February 2027. In Germany, PPWR-related fines under ยง 66(2) VerpackDG apply from 12 February 2027.

When is Sweden's first packaging report due?

New producers in Sweden must submit their first report by 31 March 2027, covering the period from 12 August to 31 December 2026.

Has the EU exemption from the authorized representative duty been adopted?

No. It is a proposal. The Parliament adopted its position on 20 October 2026 and the Council on 21 October 2026; trilogue negotiations follow. It would not cover sellers established outside the EU.

What do Confirmed and Reported mean in this calendar?

Confirmed means the date was verified on an official or primary source. Reported means it comes from a reputable secondary source. Proposals are listed separately and are not law.
